I’m a fragile, happy creature currently living in Roanoke, Virginia.  I have a handbag full of interesting, completely useless skills:  I write.  I paint (sloppily).  I take photographs.  I sing with the radio whenever I’m driving — and sound like the girl version of Frank Sinatra (kidding).  I can dress myself Like Whoa, my shoe collection is getting shamefully large, and my house is my personal art project.  Fortunately, I have a sense of humor, though I’m shy about sharing it. Also:  I like to cook.  Please get over here stat, and I’ll make you something. Want to say hi?  You can contact me at akwilsonfellers@gmail.com.

Your courage – encourages! It is so rare to see a real example of true vulnerabity and the wonder of discovery that follows. Thank you for opening the door to your soul. The beauty there leaves us speechless with only tears to express our appreciation. Love you!

    • What kind words from you… I know my vulnerability isn’t for everyone, but I am constantly amazed and touched to know that there’s a little tribe of souls out there who “get it” and appreciate it. Thank you for encouraging me today. ❤

    • What kindness … Thank you! I’m glad you found me and that you’ve enjoyed my strange little view of the world. 😉

I absolutely love your photographs. As someone who tends to be a little overwhelmed and destabilized by color, I can’t get over how calm and balanced and beautiful your color-rich images are. Looking forward to more! 🙂

Hi Ashley, I stumbled upon your blog by accident and the moment I read your first few words I realised that you are a very special person who has a wonderful talent for expressing and sharing thoughts in beautiful language. I feel as though I already know you. Your photographs have a wonderful quality also. I am looking forward to your future posts.
Scotland does not seem so far from where you are now!!
