Same Body, Second Glance: Day Thirty-Two

Every day, we stand in a threshold and choose.  To stay or to go.  To hide or reveal.

It is a tremendous risk, taking your real self out into a world that doesn’t always want to see it.  But I have spent too many years hiding. And the hiding place feels too small for me, now.

So today I choose to risk. ❤

{{Wondering what’s going on here??  Almost a year ago, I found myself on bad terms with the person in the mirror.  So I made a commitment:  every day for forty days, I’d take *one* photograph of my body that I could honestly see as beautiful.  Want to follow my journey?  Start here.}}

    1. Yes. You’re so right. I actually think this is one of my favorite images from the series, even though it isn’t a great shot from a compositional perspective (sometimes taking photos with an iphone means leaning the camera up against a can of tomatoes and a box of tea on te kitchen counter, & calling that a “tripod,” ha). Still. It’s a truthful image, which is what matters to me. Thank you for being here, friend. ❤
